2. Consult Customer Care

• Before making your purchase, you must fill out our online Sizing Recommendation Request Form to get personalised sizing advice.
• ⚠️ Critical Requirement for Accurate Fit: The accuracy of our recommendation depends entirely on the data you provide. You must provide the actual lay-flat measurements of your current best-fitting jeans/jacket using a proper measuring tape. If you have additional fit expectations on top of your best-fitting jeans/jacket measurements, you need to proactively mention such expectations under ‘’Additional Information’’. For example: ‘’Shoulders and biceps area are my concerns for the jacket; the shoulders were not nearly big enough.’’; ‘’I do not mind even a tighter-looking jacket compared to my current one.’’

3. Receive Human Sizing Recommendation

• Once we receive your request, our human Customer Care Team will review your layout metrics and contact you within 48 hours to follow up. The complimentary exchange service is only eligible when a purchase is guided directly by our human team members. We strongly encourage you to consult us even if you already own Japan Blue products, as sizing varies significantly across different fits and fabric versions. We keep a permanent structural record of all sizing advice given to you.

4. Receive Your Order

• Wait for your order to arrive. Be sure to try it on before removing any tags!

5. Initiate an Exchange (if needed)

• If the size recommended does not fit as expected:
• Reach out to the customer care team within 7 days of receiving the item.
• Provide the reason for the exchange.
• Verification Step: To help us verify the sizing mismatch, you will be required to follow our measuring guide and provide the actual lay-flat measurements of the garment you received. We may also request a fitting picture to confirm the structural fit issue.
• The Customer Care Team will suggest an alternate size if the current sizing is deemed not accurate.
• If the alternate size is out of stock, we process a refund instead of an exchange.

6. Return the Original Item

• Once Customer Care Team determines the complimentary size-exchange is eligible, we will provide you with the return shipping labels at our costs. However, you are required to place a new order for exchange size in the same style first and let us know the new order number.
• Once we receive your return, we’ll process the refund.

Terms and Conditions

• Human Validation Only: Requests must be submitted via the official Sizing Recommendation Request Form and guided by our human Customer Care Team. Automated AI chats and human live text chats are strictly excluded.
• Eligible Products: Limited exclusively to unhemmed denim jeans and denim jackets bought directly through the Japan Blue Jeans Global website.
• Strict Modification Exclusion: Custom-hemmed or altered jeans are completely ineligible for exchanges, returns, or refunds under any circumstances.
• Fit Accuracy Only: Sizing is only deemed "incorrect" if the physical, flat-laid dimensions of the delivered garment fail to map properly to the baseline measurements of your original "best-fitting jeans" form submission. We cannot accommodate exchange requests based on customers' subjective feelings on garment fit.
• Sizing discrepancy: Please note that our denim products are meticulously crafted by hand, and as such, there may be a slight variation of up to 2~3cm (1 inch) from each measurement attribute provided in our size chart. This variance is within the acceptable range and does not qualify as a discrepancy for free exchange or return in all circumstances.
• Style and Silhouette Exclusion: This guarantee covers structural fit variables only (such as waist and hip circumference bounds). Personal dissatisfaction with the product's aesthetic drape, silhouette option, cut, or leg profile width (e.g., expecting a Straight/Wide cut to drape like a Slim cut) does not qualify for a complimentary exchange.
• No Style Substitutions: Exchanges are strictly restricted to the exact same style and fabric type in a different size. Requests to switch colors, styles, or fabric processing types (One-Wash vs. Raw/Unwashed) are prohibited. Change of mind or style preferences will be denied.
• Input-Data Dependency Clause: Sizing recommendations depend entirely on the customer-submitted "best-fitting jean/jacket" dimensions. A recommendation cannot be classified as inaccurate if the customer provided guessed, estimated, or inaccurate measurements in the first place. If the delivered garment matches the faulty data provided by the customer, the recommendation is legally deemed accurate to the input, and the complimentary exchange is voided.
• No Multi-Size Safety Net: Free returns are not provided for unwanted sizes if a customer purchases multiple size variants simultaneously to test the fit at home.
• Purchase Window: Recommended items must be ordered within one month (30 days) of receiving the official advice from our Customer Care Team.
• Exchange Window: Complimentary size-exchanges must be requested within 7 days of delivery tracking.
• Limit: Limited strictly to one complimentary size-exchange per purchased item. Benefits are non-transferable and valid only for the original order recipient.
• Evidence Requirement: Customers must cooperate fully with the verification process by providing clear evidence (lay-flat product measurements and fitting pictures) to verify structural sizing inaccuracies. Failure or refusal to provide verification results in immediate forfeiture of eligibility.
• Abuse and Fraud Policy: Japan Blue Jeans reserves the absolute right to deny complimentary exchanges if fraudulent activity is suspected—including repeated sizing manipulation, deliberate mismeasurement, or excessive exchange patterns.
• Japan Blue Jeans reserves the right to change, suspend, or cancel this service or its structural terms at any time without prior notice.
