Following this, we will open "Japan Blue Jeans FUKUOKA" on an auspicious day in the same month in Daimyo, Fukuoka, which continues to make great strides as the gateway to Asia. With these two new locations, we will broadcast the value of Japan Denim to the world.
A Space That Embodies the Brand
Kojima, Okayama Prefecture, possesses traditional heavy-fabric sewing techniques, innovative weaving, and hand-crafted processing technology. Despite being the same indigo blue, the unique blueness born from the craftsmen's production process creates an unparalleled presence. At both the Osaka and Fukuoka locations, the jeans themselves function as part of the spatial "furnishings," combining natural materials, silver mirror processing, and charred cedar (Yakisugi) to express the harmony of the advanced and the traditional. Incorporating imperfection and aging, the space embodies a worldview that resonates with Wabi-Sabi. The OSAKA store features pre-painted equipment that evokes the manufacturing process in a factory, while the FUKUOKA store incorporates imperfect expressions throughout, such as a cracking mortar floor finish. These elements make the stores evoke the commonality between Japanese culture, which finds beauty in Wabi-Sabi, and jeans, where one enjoys the aging process and finds value in it.
