JAPAN BLUE JEANS's Sashiko items have such a strong presence that you can't help but pick them up in stores, and they continue to attract attention.
We feature the “Sashiko Haori” along with the fading results from one of our staff members who has worn it for about four years.

11oz Indigo Sashiko Haori
At 11oz, it has a good weight and thickness, yet the softness of the fabric makes it easy to use in daily life.
Coverall and denim jacket types are also available, but my top choice is definitely the “Haori (羽織り)”.
The sashiko fabric alone has strong impact, and the Haori’s silhouette gives it even more presence. Simply throw it over any outfit for an instant look.
Since it is rope-dyed like denim, you can enjoy beautiful fading over time.
The Haori has no front buttons or ties, keeping the design simple with only side pockets and inside pockets — letting you fully enjoy the texture and fading of the fabric.
Side pockets are placed along the side seams without disturbing the clean silhouette.
The inside pocket is deep enough to hold a 30cm ruler, and chambray fabric is used for the lining.
4 Years of Wear
Worn for about 4 years.
One wash after the first year, then washed every two to three months.
The collar, which often rubs against the neck, has faded noticeably.
Compared side by side, the fading is clear. Even with the same indigo dye, fading occurs faster than jeans!
I really recommend sashiko products — please try adding them to your outfits!
